On Thursday 15th November at 6.00 p.m. we will be holding an Online Safety curriculum evening led by Education Child Protection, for parents / carers of all children at the school. In the digital age in which we live there are many ways in which we can communicate with other people and we are constantly hearing of worrying reports that our children are still taking too many risks online. This curriculum evening is of the utmost importance for parents/carers concerned about the safety of their children when using technology and enables parents to understand the wide array of applications and websites out there today.
Three areas will be covered during the session:
- How we educate children regarding staying safe online
- Update into the online world of children
- Making things safer at home
The feedback from the last time the school held an Online Safety curriculum evening for parents was very positive, but many parents missed this important opportunity to be updated on the latest security measures that can be implemented to keep us all safe.
A link will be sent to all parents on Monday 6th November.
If you wish to attend this curriculum evening please book places using the form below.
We expect the session to last approximately an hour. We look forward to seeing you there.
This event has been arranged to coincide with our programme for Friendship Week. During the day, the team will be working with the children from Reception to Year 6, introducing them to CEOP and the ‘Think-U-Know’ education programme.
