The Friends of St Paul's (FOSPS)

New Parents

A very warm welcome to the school, and to the Friends of St Paul’s School (FOSPS). We are a registered charity and our aim is to raise funds for the benefit of our children.

With school finances under more pressure than ever, we believe that the school and parents working in partnership is the most positive way to secure the best educational experience for our children. Every pound raised by FOSPS goes directly to providing for the school and our children. We all want our children to have the best Primary Education. The money we have raised over the years has provided improved facilities like the outdoor Reception classrooms, i-pads, maths equipment, the playground apparatus and running track, and valuable experiences such as Arts Week, Science Week and Spanish Day.

We meet as a committee once a month, either in school or on Zoom. At the meetings, we discuss fundraising ideas and agree with the headteacher where to allocate and spend the money raised. Our AGM is held in October; this is when you can join the committee, or simply come along to hear details of what we have been up to.

Over the last few of years we had to re-think how to raise funds for the school, running virtual and Covid-safe events, but we've now come back with a vengeance! We've had the incredible panto Mother Goose, a school disco, a Sip & Paint evening, Wreath Making, and a Christmas Market, to name but a few. The highlight of our calendar, the Summer Fete, is also back! Being a part of making these events happen is a great way to meet parents from other classes and year groups; I am thankful for the friendships made over the years I have been involved in FOSPS.

While we hope many of you will join, you don’t need to be on the committee to contribute. We always need ideas and help from everyone.  Just send an email, speak to your Class Rep, or pop along to a meeting to share your ideas. All of our events need helpers and supporters; they wouldn't be possible without everyone pitching in. Keep an eye out for emails from your class rep asking for volunteers and help out when you can. I would also encourage you to come along and enjoy events; the Quiz, Christmas Fayre, and our Summer Fete to name but a few, none would be a success without the full support of the parent body.

We look forward to meeting you and wish you all the best for your time at St Paul’s.

Easy Fundraising

SIGN UP TO ST PAUL’S SCHOOL EASY FUNDRAISING SCHEME

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online - for example, when you buy your little ones a new pair of school shoes from Clarks or new school uniform from Marks & Spencer - you could be raising a free donation for our school? There are nearly 3,000 retailers including Tesco, Amazon, John Lewis, Sainsbury's and ASOS who will donate a percentage of the amount you spend to St Paul's School to say thank you for shopping with them.

Donations vary from 50p for a Sainsbury’s delivery to £100 for a holiday booking so imagine how much we can raise if everyone was to join in.

It's really simple, and doesn't cost you anything. All you have to do is:

  1. Go to http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/stpaulswinchmorehill
  2. Sign up for free
  3. Get shopping - your donations will be collected by easyfundraising and automatically sent to St Paul's CE School - Winchmore Hill. It couldn't be easier!
  4. Set up the donation reminder then every time you go to an eligible website you just click one button to activate the donation.

There are no catches or hidden charges and the school will be really grateful for your donations.

Thank you for your support

200 Club

Want to help raise money for the school? Join the FOSPS 200 Club and you could win up to £50!

By signing up, you stand a chance to win a monthly jackpot of £50, with £20 for second prize and £10 for 3rd prize.

We are looking for new members to ensure we have winners every month.  At present we have several vacant numbers so please try and support the school and be a winner too! It only costs £10 per number, per year, to have a number and registration is quick and easy - just fill in the form using the following link: 200 Club Application Form. We can randomly select you a number, however if you have a preference or any questions at all please email Manuel Gomes at madeo.gomes@gmail.com.

Anyone can join our 200 club – your children, their grandparents, your friends or your neighbours. You pay £10 membership subscription for one number for the year and your number goes in the Draw every month (except August – instead we double the number of winners in December). You can have as many numbers as you wish.

Wishing you lots of luck!

My Nametags

RAISE MONEY FOR OUR SCHOOL WHEN YOU PURCHASE YOUR NAME TAGS AND LABELS

If you need to purchase name tags or stickers to identify your children’s clothes and belongings when they start at St Paul’s in September, then the school has an account with a company called mynametags.com. Every order placed will earn money for our school!

The clothes labels and stickers are extremely hardwearing and save a great deal of effort and potential lost property. Their iron-on nametags are machine washable and take 8-15 seconds to iron on. The stickers are dishwasher safe. You can also design your own labels and there is a huge variety of colours, fonts and pictures to choose from.

Please order online by going to www.MyNametags.com and entering the St Paul’s School ID 65744.
