Christingle Services

It was lovely to hold our KS2 and KS1 Christingle services this week where we thought about how we embody the meaning of Christmas and the work of the Children’s Society. Thank you to Father Daniel and Father Pete in leading the services.

Gardening

In connection with our Geography topic ‘Rainforests’, in which we learnt about deforestation, we decided to do our bit for the environment and plant some trees in the wild flower garden. We learnt about the types of trees we were planting, including silver birch, dogwood and cherry. We loved the experience and would like to thank Mrs Groves and Mrs Harbott for their help.

Year 2 Educational Trip to the Roald Dahl Museum

Year 2 visited the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre as part of their English unit on ‘stories by the same author’. During our trip, the children were able to explore the village where Roald Dahl lived and see the places which gave Roald Dahl inspiration for some of his fantastic stories. Inside the museum, Year 2 took part in a fun-filled workshop where they were able to create their own character as well as find out interesting facts about this author. We had a fantastic day and as always Year 2 were incredibly well behaved. Thank you so much to the adults who volunteered on the day!
