WE Day

WE means that you don’t just think about yourself but you think about helping other people.  WE Day is an event held in Canada, USA and England.  The EcoVengers, School Council and the Day Explorers from St Paul’s School attended the English WE Day which was held at Wembley Arena on 7 March.

We travelled to Wembley on the train.  We had taken with us some non-perishable food which was to be distributed to people who needed it.  When we got there we were given wrist bands, we gave our food in, we were filmed on a live TV event and we were given books and flags.  We visited the shop and bought hats, necklaces, T-shirts, etc.  The money raised is sent to people who need it.

Then we went into the arena.  Our seats were on the ground floor and we were very close to the stage.  There were many inspirational people who told us about their achievements and how they had overcome their difficulties.  The Celebrity Marauders were hosting the event and they were funny and kept us energised.  We saw lots of other celebrities including Tokio Myers, the winner of Britain’s Got Talent, and HRVY.

We learnt a lot and there was a great atmosphere.  Everybody joined in and everybody was happy.  It was one of the best days ever.
